The log cabin was built in the 1980s, on one of the 3300 islands on Lake Inari. This is a remote cabin on an island with only one other cabin located about 400m on the other side of a hill. Here, you will have to get your own water from the well or the lake. Chop some firewood. Start a fire. But you will surely have a once-in-a-lifetime experience. This is a unique opportunity to experience a true Finnish way of living.

Maura Wilderness Cabin

Maura Wilderness Cabin has a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove and a fridge. There are  books to read and a full island to discover both in Summer and Winter. The traditional Finnish sauna offers the best possible way to relax after a full day of exploring and the crystal clear lake will provide you both with fish to eat, fresh drinking water, and a place to swim on the nightless nights of Summer.

The cabin has four beds and a sofa-bed for 2 and is best suited either for families or for groups of up to six. The 220V solar-powered electricity system will keep your devices connected from late February until late October. You can rent a motorboat in the Summer and a snowmobile in the Winter to get the full experience and to get the freedom of moving around the vast Inari Lake.
